Wow. Crazy cultural commentary. So we need to fabricate discomfort because either 1) the adage "no pain no gain" is accurate ie. the most amazing art is always crafted out of the most brutal life experience or 2) first-world guilt has us seeking out discomfort and meaning
I really LIKED this piece! ha. It's nice that you're so humble and deferential — makes you much more LIKEable. But really, you know your (apparent) tastes count cause you're intelligent and you're experienced. Intelligence + experience = saavy, right? It's as if you want to deconstruct that formula but the entire piece just proves that the formula works because I LIKED it and I respect your P.O.V. If it was meaningless, inarticulate ramble then I wouldn't have read to the end...
