I think your analysis of the housing plan is a bit flawed. I don't think you would completely dismiss the relevance of the preservation of affordable housing if you talked to some of the tenants in these distressed buildings that are getting rehabilitated while maintaining affordable rents for the tenants in place.

I've basically just been thinking that this would not happen in NYC because the NYPD would just shoot a bunch of people and then everyone would go home. Is that correct? Not saying that this is a good thing (at all), just that it's what I picture happening.

@Arsenic I also worked at the Henson Company one summer as in intern in the Muppet Mansion on the Upper East Side. I got to see the giant file-cabinet-thing where all the various iterations of the muppets were stored! It was mind-blowing.
