It doesn't "patronize its audience or reduce its characters to stereotypes," except for oh I don't know, the whole of India, a country still emerging from the terrible legacy of colonialism, which this film so nicely and sweetly reifies? "Even Dev Patel" gets his own storyline, WHAT A TREAT FOR HIM.
