I was one of those kids traumatized by the words/imagery of Killer Bob's few seconds of screen time each week. I watch the series every couple years - amazed by the execution of the first season; and even more disappointed with the sloppiness of the second.
I have a lot of respect for Lynch's filmmaking process. INLAND EMPIRE is a diabolical visual/auditory hallucination. But Twin Peaks seems to be his most accessible work of American cinematic surrealism. (Yeah - I know it was on TV but whatev.). A remake or reimagining just wouldn't be the same without a true visionary at the helm, even if Mark Frost was involved.
As far as my fave Twin Peaks moments - Ronette Pulaski walking down the train tracks bloodied and battered... And Julee Cruisee enchanting performance of 'Falling'. Has Any show had as many compelling moments since?
