On One Town, Two Newspapers: Will the Real Digital Innovators Please Stand Up?

Great story. But one concern:

"By contrast, the Register’s own much-touted 'community engagement' consists of comments sections that read like Klan rallies."

I've seen both sites' comment sections. The Independent leans hard left, as do its online commenters. (The Register tends to lean that way, too, though I'm guessing more out of laziness and convenience than intent.) But the Register's comment sections should not be tied to the product itself; and, having seen the sections, your opinion that they read like "Klan rallies" tells me more about you than it does about the Register.

Why do writers have to ruin a good piece by sticking in unnecessary liberal snipes?
