@KTHeaney There's already a new bar open in the Uptown location - although when I was there during the day everything looked about the same, so I can't speak to what sort of grime still permeates the dance floor at night there.

Wasn't Taste of Minnesota cancelled? Also, Drink has been gone since December and it's downtown brother has just been shuttered as well. You can't judge all of Uptown by Drink - Hennepin/Lake might be the "center", but it's a total clusterfuck.

@timbomac Most Twin Citizens I know will talk incessantly about how great Chicago is as well. I hardly think they're in competition. Madison probably suffers more from Chicago envy than Minneapolis. I will concede that this list misses most of why I love the area though: Lakes! Bikes! Constitutionally mandated arts funding!
Also, the title is "A Guide to the Twin Cities," so I'm assuming that's why the boundary waters aren't included.
