It's less popped than ever!
I can't handle the eyefucking Clinton and Obama are doing there, sorry.
I have to admit to an absurd fondness for National Treasure. Also, it's my birthday too, which clearly necessitates a viewing this evening in celebration of both myself and Mr. Cage.
This is unspeakably delightful.
@Niko Bellic Or, you know, you hear rumors all the time. You see police cars at an airport, and yeah, it might be a shooter, but it might be just about anything else. If you're cynical about security theater (unusual, I know), you might well assume it's nothing, a false alarm, a drill. If something clearly is for-realsies wrong, and the police themselves aren't telling you what's going on, why wouldn't you pull out your phone and check local news, CNN, whatever? I doubt the people actually in the shooter's range were checking their phones -- but LAX is a big airport, and plenty of people had absolutely no way of knowing what was going on. Using the computer in their pockets to try and find out seems pretty reasonable to me.
This is absolutely stunning -- thank you so much for it. I honestly don't have a lot of useful commentary, I don't think, but that may be the best evidence of how powerful it is.
This is honestly all I can hear, although I'll admit that the gif format seemed especially apropos.
@laurel this is the true correct comment.
@Rod T This pretty much just confirms what I already suspected re: my being old at heart, although going to bed at 9 and getting up at 4:30 did make me wonder.
Oh, this resonated a lot. Lovely.
I love everything about this.
