On Game Misconduct, with Eric J. Herboth: Who Will Hire Allen Iverson, the Best Basketball Player Ever?
Assuming he got there on a drive, he's behind the basket, off balance, and without any chance at getting off a shot. The best possible outcome is a bailout pass to a teammate.

Iverson and Rasheed Wallace don't mix. I'd never seen Sheed loaf on D until Iverson got to Detroit. The Celtics would be spoiling their mix. San Antonio could make it work perhaps.

There’s a difference between playing defense and playing the passing lanes. Iverson can't, or doesn't, stay in front of his man. Ever.
I can understand the love for Iverson -- gritty as it gets for sure, and a compelling figure. I thought he’d bring the two things the Pistons needed most â€" penetration and passion. It was a good gamble, but in the end what we learned more than anything else is that Iverson knows how to say the right things to reporters. He's still digging at Joe Dumars -- as if anyone's gonna buy a character assassination of Joe Dumars by Iverson?
In the end, the trade tells all. Denver got Billups and found itself in the conference finals. Detroit got Iverson and flamed out. He’s lost a step and doesn’t seem to know that, and it killed our offense. He still plays with passion, but he killed whatever passion anyone else on the Pistons had.
I don’t think it’s over, though. Someone will sign him. Let’s be in touch then, Eric, and I’ll bet any amount on how it turns out.

On Already Over: Your Granite Kitchen Countertops
Because somebody has to reply earnestly it's my position that everybody's granite-and-cherry kitchens looked like everybody else's granite-and-cherry kitchens from at least five years ago. So what's the news here?
