On A Conversation with Paul Ford, Web Editor of Harper's Magazine
This was such a great conversation! And I really appreciated the NPR/PBS linkage mentions.
I don't know about NPR, but I can report from the PBS side that there are incredibly strict policies about directly linking to a page that solicits some sort of sale or for-profit commercial transaction. Paywall trends right now have me worried about my future ability to include outgoing related links.

Also, add pineapples to that and it's pretty damn good that way too.

THIS MAY SOUND TOTALLY GROSS BUT -
I seriously LOVE Dominoes thin crust with jalapenos and onions on top. Really loved and appreciated this convo.

On Twitter Trends Last Night
Just FYI, it's not just late night when you get "black people twitter," "urban twitter," or whatever the hell you want to call it. It's 1 pm right now and the top trending topics are #donttrytoholla http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23donttrytoholla and #wecoolandallbut http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23wecoolandallbut
Thanks for blogging about that, I've been staring at those trending topics trying to figure them out for months.

On Brooklyn Is Everything They Say It Is
There's a weird generalization people make that all of Brooklyn is like north Brooklyn (especially when dealing with creative professionals), and it's really much bigger and much more diverse than that. I bit the bullet to commit to a longer commute in exchange for a substantially nicer apartment and moved halfway out to Coney Island (the best decision I've made in my life), and pretty much the entire description of Brooklyn noted above doesn't apply to my current experience. But it might have applied when I lived near Cooper Park up in north BK. Also, I used to get those giant water bugs when I lived in the East Village 6 years ago, I'm kind of surprised your impression of Manhattan is so clean and bug free. I mean, it smells like garbage, rotting fish, or feces on almost every corner in Manhattan.
