Thing is, listening = understanding, or at least trying to. And there are people who can love other people without needing to understand them. But there are people cannot feel loved by someone they perceive as not interested in even trying to understand them.
Just relieved to see you spelled it right.
I have worked at Herbalife conventions. They are the worst of the worst. Say no and don't engage is the best, the only advice. They want you to say why you don't want to join, and then they want to beat you to death with answers to all your arguments. You don't have time? It takes no time! You don't like to talk to people? We'll teach you to talk to people! You have no arms and legs and can't dial a phone or carry a box of vitamins? All you need is your first recruit! Just look at this picture of my boat!
Remember: They do not make the money hawking diet vitamins, they make the money ensnaring new people. Herbalife = Ponzi.
I liked People Express, but on the old Eastern shuttle, between New York and DC many times a day, you would just show up at the gate, no reservation. Around 30 minutes before departure they'd count noses, and if there were more than one plane's worth of people they would bring up a second airplane at the next gate over. Once you were in the air, they took your credit card.
It was the perfect travel model.
My, what insane crap. All of it.
Can I assume that the child went and did this all on her own, and if anyone older than 20 had seen it beforehand it would never have been posted?
She's SO good. Laurie Colwin called her tough. Read A Glass of Blessings and Quartet in Autumn.
I smell dances at the boys camp.
Also, there was never any need for lemon LBS, because Jean Naté! And ALSO, the girl in whatever YA book that was who DRANK Jean Naté.
"I can't tell if it's your general flat affect, or if you're not that mad, Bella," Edward said.
I laughed loud enough that people asked What? And then I couldn't stop laughing to explain.
Loehmann's, I think.
