@Colin Dickey@twitter Yes, exactly! He was a Skopsy! A very extreme Christian sect in Russia at the time of his death.
This aspect of his history works really well with the fictional "entanglement" he had earlier in life with Francesca (the prostitute). ;) The fact that this was self inflicted is just horrifying, Victorian torture porn at it's best (worst).

No, I don't think my work is up anywhere Minneapolis. The restaurant may have purchased prints from the Mutter gift shop maybe? idk

L.V. Anderson is a great interviewer. She really was fun to talk with and really had some great questions and knew the project well even before we spoke. And I appreciate the work of Damien Hirst a lot (his shark might be an exception though). Now if I could just get to a small level of his commercial success. ;)
