On The End of the 00s: Tiny Moments of Varying Significance, 2000-2009, by Amy Jean Porter
Thank you, Amy. The majority of these 00s were depressing enough to turn me away from this, my most favorite thing on the Internet. Big exception among these was the ode to Buffy, which pretty much left me weeping (in a good, cathartic way) after an exhausting Christmas. I pulled out the Season 5 DVDs to watch it all again.
I agree with Abe above. The other 00s entries brought, "largely, no challenge, beauty or even, really, much perspective despite seeming to try so very hard to. In that, they (the majority) were not personal ENOUGH, striving, desperately, shamelessly, to fabricate a connection between personal experiences and something from the decade that was greater than themselves."
They left me cold. But then this brought me right back in. Thanks again, Amy. We're leaving the 00s on a wistful note.

On Recapping 'The Wire': Episode 2
Wait. Whoa. No. You are funny, funny jokers. I'm in the midst of a Buffy marathon and this comment just made me drop my fork and IMDB The Wire, The Musical. Stop it, you. This is just a spoiler of my dreams.

On A Public Service Announcement, with Kaila Hale-Stern: Geocities Is Closing Today. Have You Rescued Your Misspent Youth Yet?
Oh man. I just put to bed a 60-page Answer Book about a town in Connecticut and definitely listed some Geocities pages as the homepages of the Kiwanis club and local boating clubs and stuff like that. Went to the printer on Friday. Appearing as a supplement this Thursday. Sweet.
