Why did they hide the funnier headline in the URL?
The problematic age-math in this (enjoyable) fictional account is bothering me more than it should.
I found "Then Again, Maybe I Won't" to be a deeply affecting tale of class and suburban ennui. But I haven't read it for 25 years.
The Life of Pi review was odd, essentially he said it has its moments but all the god stuff sucks.
I was sure there was a riff in some novel about how one day a certain carvel ice cream cake would match the USA today temperature map and armageddon would ensue (or somthing like that). A Douglas Coupland book maybe?

I read this on the subway this afternoon. There are fun details, but the overall impression that the writer was trying to leave was "Ron Burkle is a STARFUCKER"
