If I hadn't known what book it was based on, I'm not sure if I would have gone to see a movie called "John Carter."

I would DEFINITELY have gone to a movie called "Billy Carter," though.

Thanks for writing this, but especially thanks for mentioning the Kobo. It was a breath of fresh air, as I am getting mighty sick of writers, when needing to refer to their audience's presumed ebook reader of choice, always saying, "our Kindles."

On Google Is Gamifying Reading!

The Kobo app on the iPhone pops up Xbox-style achievements at what seem like random intervals, which startled the hell out of me the first time it happened.

They're really patronizing, too--like, "Congratulations! You've just added a book to your library! Good for you, buddy!"
