On Brain Surgeons Still Convinced Obama Is A Muslim
After 8 years of this country having George W. as a leader (8 years and all of which I lived abroad), I'm convinced that a significant portion of the US population is just beyond stupid.
I love that you used a DJ Logic album cover for this blog post ;)

On Asian Poses Dot Com: Racist? Accurate? I Don't Know?
I also lived in Asia, but I was there for 8 years.
At that point, you've started taking on some of the culture. It got so bad that I even do some of these poses, and I'm a black female ;) I'm particularly fond of the sideways peace sign.

On Al Gore puts his money where his mouth is. Also probably donuts.
That was wicked! Give it to Gore for giving Amateur Hour Blackburn a verbal beat down!

On "Because, what, you're gonna fly coach?"
Laughable.
How many layers of group think were required for people behind this crap to agree that THIS would be a good ad?

On Rich People Things
Excellent writing.
I just don't get this sense of entitlement the elite have and how they can even attempt to be frustrated. They have more than enough to afford things that others are terrified they're going to loose: their homes, their retirement funds, their health insurance, etc.
For all of their education and status, the one thing they've never shown was empathy, compassion and generosity, so I don't see why they expect the same from the uneducated and dirty masses.
Oh, BTW, I agree with the others who've suggested the right justification made this more challenging than not to read.

On In Which A Cat Is Abandoned
Good grief. This is a huge FAIL on the humor meter for me. I'm the complete opposite. I've had my cat for 18 years since she was a kitten. She's traveled with me from L.A., to San Fran and to Asia and back. That's just fucking cruel.
They could have given the cat up to a shelter. It's just not funny. It's not like they left a teddy bear on the side of the road. This is a living being.

On People who tanked the economy have feelings too
I'm sorry but I'm still very much on the screw them side of the fence.
I know that when I was in law school in San Francisco, I was wondering how suddenly there were so many millionaires in the Bay Area. Now this was due to the dot.com boom that subsequently went bust. There were, and still are some great things going on. But those businesses were being over-valued. However, even then people got giddy with greed. The market tanking didn't have as steep of a drop, so there were less casualties, but there were some.
This time, it wasn't just inflated values, but also assets that were valueless coupled with a lot of spin. I'm not a financial expert, but do you have to be to see that the bottom was going to fall out at some point? I've been abroad for the last eight years. I haven't been in this party. I chose not to practice and instead move abroad. So yeah, screw them. I chose a crap time to move back, but after 8 years, I was ready to come home in spite of it. I'll be fine because I didn't live too large while abroad.
However, to the people to indulged during this boom period and didn't think about the possible fall out, yeah, screw all y'all. This went worldwide and the exchange rate was abysmal when I moved home.
Not cool.

On Funny Animal Videos Make Everybody's Wednesday Better
Hell, I just moved east from San Francisco. I'm telling you, I love that city but there were some times during the time that I was there that I wanted to poke some people in the head too.
Go bird, go!
