@soco Somewhere, tens of thousands of years ago, someone, probably a precusror to Homo Sapiens, and probably in multiple places more or less simultaneously, discovered abstraction. Maybe they left a rock to mark a path. Whatever it was, everything, absolutely everything we now know and do (intellectually speaking) is a copy and refinement of those primitive uses of symbols.
