You should REALLY upgrade from Wordpress 2.8.6 to 2.9.1 RIGHT NOW btw because there are security holez (and it looked like some pages had been hacked to add spamlinks yesterday).

But the new way threaded comments are presented is really awesome!

Especially since it doesn't actually seem to work anyway? (Here on Safari 4.04 at least.)

Oh, plus? The site is now dog-slow because you have gone plugin-happy and each page now loads about a bajillion javascripts, plus the "edit comments" plugin hammers the WP database with a squabillion queries so you should probably just lose that function?

On Pig Virus To End Irritating French Air Kisses?
Infoslap: la bise is not "fake kissing" - we do actually kiss each other on the cheeks over here, resulting in actual lip-face contact and so imminent death of the entire population (were it not for Sarko's heroic stand now). Perhaps you are thinking of the fake Anglo-Saxon version also called "air-kissing" or "mwah mwah, darling"?

On Buddhist Nun Uses Kung Fu Power To Pull Cars With Hair
"Jia you" - an exhortatory exclamation along the lines of "go on!", or "do your best!". Literally, it means "add oil", which is quite appropriate here?

On Lib Dems Call To Tell You They Will Be Calling You Again
No, the Conservatives are not like "the conservative end of the US Democratic party". What the Conservatives dearly want is to roll back the welfare state (ideally privatizing the NHS), cut taxes for the rich, and screw the BBC (on Murdoch's orders). They are basically very much like the Republicans, except without such an insane desire for perpetual warfare.
Cameron used an Obama guy as a campaign advisor because he wanted some Obama-style gloss, not because he believes in anything like the same things.
