On Do Tarantulas Shoot Sticky Silk Webbing Out Of Their Feet?

Once I was hiking in the Anza-Barrego desert and all the sudden I noticed a huge tarantula in my path. I was too busy backing away slowly and then tossing pebbles to get it to move to examine it's feet though.

@hockeymom I'm not actually surprised! I only live one state away, they have lovely hot springs and lakes that I've camped at. I blame the History Channel for forever imprinting on my mind that Idaho == Aryan Nation government seperatist skinheads.
