On Chemical Apple Pie: Apple Pie Without The Apples
I was going to make a comment about this being Mock Apple Pie, but I've been beaten to the punch. I got the recipe from a neighbor in a gifted pack of recipe cards years ago. I just stared at the ingredient list and determined never to make it. (WHY DO THIS? Because apples are rare and hard to find especially out of season? Because Ritz are relatively shelf-stable?) Seems like one of those bizarre mid-century recipes that were so popular--make mock apple pie in your fallout shelter after you've exhausted your produce and the worm people still roam the above-ground world!
