All the years of Old New York killing itself with angst over installing the exhibition and then POOF Bloomberg is elected and it happens with nearly no fight. This reminded me of that dividing line between Old NY and whatever this city is now. McYork?

I recall in the days after 9/11 someone on CNN saying exactly this. If a nuke goes off in America "tear up the constitution." It sounded so terrifying at the time (considering all else that was thought to happen to us). Now, I kind of expect it.
