A Photo History of Occupy Wall Street

I would very much enjoy this book of photography by always-working photographer Stephanie Keith; it's organized as a chronology of Occupy Wall Street. (To date. Obviously.) It is definitely... art-book priced. (Not cheap!) But that seems reasonable, also, for great documentation of a serious six-month project. Something for Valentine's for the armchair radical in your life?

Big K.R.I.T. Gets the Most Awesome Album Cover

Mississippi's Big K.R.I.T. is fast becoming one of my very favorite young rappers. And the cover of his new album, "ReturnOf4Eva" (go on, download that!), painted by San Francisco artist Eric Bailey, is fast becoming one of my very favorite things to look at.

New Internet Now Allows People to Interact on Video

This thing just happened. It's called VYou. Basically it's non-live Chatroulette without any dudes masturbating. (Yet.) We are testing it out ourselves to see if it has any practical uses whatsoever. Free Energy and Titus Andronicus, "I'm Going Down" (And Bruce Springsteen Covers Throughout History)

Philly's Free Energy and Jersey's Titus Andronicus just finished a tour together. It's pretty great. READ MORE

The new Animal Collective video is beautiful and reminiscent of Francis Cugat's painting "Celestial Eyes," which was used for the original cover to The Great Gatsby, which is about as beautiful as book covers get. READ MORE

A Tribe Called Quest's 'The Low End Theory' Correctly Named Greatest Hip-Hop Album Cover Of All Time

Complex has an enjoyable slide-show thing up ranking Hip-Hop's 50 Greatest Album Covers of all time. They awarded the top spot to A Tribe Called Quest's 1991 classic The Low End Theory. I think that's just right. READ MORE

This Is Some Odd Family Business

This is a multi-year photographic documentation of a heroin addict, performed by his brother. I find it rather upsetting, probably for obvious and common reasons.

The Ladies Of Fifth Avenue

For many obvious reasons, this is maybe my favorite photo series in the world.

A Curiously-Curated Collection of Photographs

Bobster855's Flickr is a fascinating and weird ongoing collection of advertising history, things overtly or covertly gay, views of outer space, cigarette advertisements, pictures taken on subways in Asia, things raided from the Library of Congress and the New York Public Library and, of course, the occasional cat photo. It's the perfect Internet!
