The Cribs, "Cheat On Me"

Are you sick of me talking about The Cribs yet? Too bad, because the new album isn't even out yet, so there's plenty more to come. Here's the video for the first single, "Cheat On Me." It's a pretty straightforward clip, but it was nice of them to include their dad on guitar.

Today In Free (Or Freeish) Stuff

Couple of freebies worth mentioning: You can download "We Were Aborted," the new single by The Cribs (now augmented, like pretty much every other working band these days, by Johnny Marr), at their website. It's a today-only deal, so don't dawdle. Also, Rumpus editor Stephen Elliot's true-crime memoir The Adderall Diaries is also available, but in an interesting "lending library" format: You need to pass it on to the next reader after a week. Enjoy.

New Cribs!

Good news! The Cribs, whose Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever was pretty much my record of 2007, have announced that its follow-up, Ignore The Ignorant, will be released on September 7. Maybe everything's gonna be okay after all.
