Bloomberg Takes Strong Stand Against Extreme Socialism

.@MikeBloomberg on @ChrisCQuinn's living wage bill: "Last time you had a big managed economy was the USSR and that didn't work out so well."

— Mike Grynbaum (@grynbaum) April 13, 2012

It's Friday, so it's the day that New York City Mike Bloomberg says tons of wild stuff! The living wage bill, if you haven't been tracking, provides a guaranteed minimum wage for people who work on some projects that have New York City subsidies. It will affect literally hundreds of people. Heh. Perhaps 500, and those workers would be guaranteed at least "$10 an hour with benefits, or $11.50 an hour without benefits." [...]

Here Is The Cover Art For Diamond's New Mixtape

Diamond is an Atlanta rapper who came to fame six years ago as a part of Crime Mob, a group of high school kids who signed to Lil John's label, BME Records. T-Pain's New Chain Not Very Off the Chain

Rap Radar's B.Dot says T-Pain's new chain looks like "a bedazzled dildo." He's right. It does. Meanwhile, that massive medallion swinging from Kanye's neck during his performance at Sunday's BET awards? It was in the shape of the falcon-headed Egyptian deity Horus, and it cost $300,000. So there you go.

Gucci Mane And Birdman, "Mouth Full Of Gold"

Gucci Mane got a great set of synth horns from producer Drummer Boy for his new single, and a guest spot from Cash Money Records owner Bryan "Birdman" (a.k.a. "Baby") Williams. And considering all the CGI explosions and fire and bullets and doves in the video Dallas-based director Mr. Boomtown made for it, the only thing missing is Nicolas Cage.
