Rachel and Mike met at a pretentious art-rock university in the Midwest when they were both 21. They moved to New York after graduating (Rachel two years later, due to a post-college year abroad), went to grad school upstate, and are now living a cross-country relationship (New York-Seattle) that's nine years old.
