A Michael Jackson Is Best Measured When It Is Down  @3:30 PM

A family in Stockton, CA, claims the image of Michael Jackson made itself manifest on their tree stump on the day of his death. "'Michael Jackson was an icon to us,' said one neighbor. 'To Stockton, Michael Jackson meant more to us than Jesus, to some people. I think they're both about even.'" MSNBC talking head/Awl photojournalism correspondent Ana Marie Cox, who was scheduled to appear on the tree prior to Jackson's passing, had no comment. 8

Gutter Press Further Degrades Lofty Profession Of Photojournalism  @11:00 AM

A British paparazzo snapped this photo of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and NBC's Andrea Mitchell while they were enjoying some private time at the Aspen Institute's Ideas Festival in Colorado. Will no one protect our celebrities from the brutal intrusion of these camera-wielding thugs? 11

The Biggest Boat!  @2:05 PM

Say hello to the world's largest private yacht, the "Eclipse." Try not to think of your own bank balance when you consider that the 557-foot ship cost more than $300 million to construct. Actually, try not to think of your own bank balance when you consider how much it will cost just to maintain. Actually, best not to think of your own bank balance at all. Look! Big boat! Exciting! 14

20 Years On  @6:27 PM

There is way too much going on in this picture of Nancy Reagan visiting with Michelle Obama at the White House, so I'll just put it up here. I mean, Jesus, who would have etc.? As a brilliant Russian philosopher once said, "What a country." 20

World Economy Propped Up By Naked Carla Bruni Photos  @1:30 PM

Yet another topless photo of French first lady Carla Bruni is up for auction. This one was taken by photographer Pamela Hanson in 1994, and is titled "Carla Bruni in bed." A source close to Nicolas Sarkozy says the French president "has no problem with this because he knows that the only images of his wife in existence are tasteful, and also wants to remind you that he is, in fact, all up in that on the regular." 4

Obama and Tiger and that's all I'm saying.  @3:06 PM

I hate caption contests, but if you think I'm going any other way with this photo before we're fully funded you're out of your mind. Anyway, here's my entry: "President Barack Obama greets professional golfer Tiger Woods in the Oval Office." I think that's really all that needs to be said, right? 38

God, always with the hating.  @2:37 PM

To be fair to God, no one really likes Fags.com. It's too garish and the navigation is poorly designed. 0
