While her assessment of the 76 dead and nearly 100 injured may be philosophically true, it's technically false. The bombing and mass shooting late last week was in fact directed at a very specific group of Norwegians. These "summer camp" teens weren't shot for taking canoe lessons; they were shot for being political activists, or children of such. Here is an absolutely astounding fundraising video from Rep. Peter King (R-NY). Greg Sargent notes King's half-assed delivery, but the whole thing is beyond amateur. The fact that the congressman is standing in front of a bar is an especially nice touch, because it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Pete had just stepped out for a quick smoke when an intern with a videocamera said, "Eh, let's just shoot this shit right now and then have a few more."
