Poor Monica Hesse is hated by every gay blogger in America pretty much, because she wrote a funny Washington Post profile about the head of NOM NOM NOM, who is a cheery douchebag with an obsession on hating gay marriage, and all the gays were like, NO ONE CAN BE NICE TO THAT MONSTER. Which isn't a terribly wrong viewpoint, but, seriously homos, turn it down a notch. So the WaPo ombudsman devoted his Sunday column to Miss Monica and her story, and revealed that she is a failed lesbian! This is so much better than "I have soooo many black friends." READ MORE

Parodies of the NOM "gathering storm" video have pretty much reached the end of their life cycle. (Not that that'll stop more from being made.) Anyway, this one features a bunch of B-list celebs, including Lance Bass, Other Becky, Sulu, and some other people I should probably know. Jane Lynch kinda saves it, but your own boredness quotient for the day should be a decent indicator on whether you click through.

So yesterday I was gonna do something about that ridiculous anti-gay marriage ad from the "National Organization for Marriage." I was particularly amused by their attempts to co-opt the language and of the left-they call themselves part of a "rainbow coalition," they claim to be victims of "a new McCarthyism," and their logo is pretty much one step away from this popular symbol-but I got busy or lazy or something. (Ah, the joys of beta-testing!) Anyway, this re-mix of the spot is pretty great.
