As Germans prepare to go to the polls, the country has unleashed its own version of "the Obama girl," the buxom young woman whose fervent support of the Democratic presidential candidate was something of a viral sensation last year among people who care about that sort of thing. The Teutonic variant-branded "the Steini girl"- is equally adamant about her affection for Frank-Walter Steinmeier, head of the Social Democrats, the junior party in the current coalition government.
