Chris Matthews, who got in a bit of trouble for saying that he forgot Barack Obama was black during the State of the Union address-perhaps because the president was not wearing his usual gold chains and dashiki-quickly issued a clarification. Turns out he meant it in a really good way!

Chris Matthews spent 8 minutes last night interviewing/berating Second Amendment advocate William Kostric, the armed protester outside Barack Obama's town hall meeting yesterday. Alternating between wide-eyed innocence and cagey evasiveness, Kostric, whose paper trail on the web reveals pretty much what you'd expect, confirmed that the gun was loaded, dodged the question of whether the President was born in this country, and denounced tyranny, which as we know is all around us. Again, they gave him 8 minutes. Maybe this is Matthews' revenge for being denied "Meet The Press."
