Big K.R.I.T. Gets the Most Awesome Album Cover

Mississippi's Big K.R.I.T. is fast becoming one of my very favorite young rappers. And the cover of his new album, "ReturnOf4Eva" (go on, download that!), painted by San Francisco artist Eric Bailey, is fast becoming one of my very favorite things to look at.

Storm Thorgerson Talks Pink Floyd, Flying Pigs

Storm Thorgerson, the artist whose firm Hipgnosis designed many famous rock album covers and t-shirts I wore pretty much every day in 7th grade, has a show at London's Idea Generation Gallery this month. The BBC has an excellent gallery of his work with a soundtrack of him talking about it. It's unfortunately unembeddable, so you'll have to visit their website to see it. Above is another clip featuring him talking specifically about working with Pink Floyd. It's also enjoyable, because, along with having amassed such an impressive catalog of work, Mr. Thorgerson talks nicely.

In other disappointing rap news: Bronald Oil & Gas, the Cash Money Millionaires' green energy company? Bloomberg looked into it and it seems that, thus far at least, the company exists primarily in the tattoo on Baby's head.

New Ghostface Killah Album Cover Is Totally Killah

Pitchfork put up the cover image for Ghostface Killah's forthcoming The Wizard of Poetry album and it is awesome. After hearing the album's first single, "Baby," a nice hip-hip love song marred by the autotune menace, one can only hope the rest of the music is anywhere near as dope as that picture of The Yellow Brick Road leading through a field of flowers and fly honies to the gates of Emerald City.
