It's a shame that this happened on a Friday afternoon, because it's bound to get buried over the weekend, but here's a nice exchange between former Vice President Al Gore and Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) during today's hearing on climate change.

Politico wins the pre-lunch hour with the news that Al and Tipper Gore are separating after 40 years and two weeks of marriage. The couple announced this to their friends by mass email. "Sad," remarked Katie Couric on her Twitter. "Seemed like such a great couple." (No, seriously. None of the above is made up.)
I am very disappointed that Al Gore did not read this with "annoying poetry guy" intonation.
