A Guide to Hot Airplane Hijackers of the 1970s
I am very excited about Brendan Koerner's The Skies Belong to Us: Love and Terror in the Golden Age of Hijacking. It comes out in June, and it's the story of a young couple who hijacked an airplane as an anti-war protest. Of sorts. Do you want to read it? "RIVETING AND ILLUMINATING," says Twitter enthusiast David Grann! So yes! You do.
But best of all, Brendan is running a Tumblr where he introduces us to a different airline hijacker every day! There are so many of them! Today's skyjacker is super-hot, if perhaps not very organized or bright. I wonder what ever happened to him, after he got out of the nut hut in the early 70s.

@Alex Cline@twitter Thank you! Plus, he was "a con man who had been tricking small Italian towns into thinking he was the wealthy scion of an American La Cosa Nostra boss." This cries out for a disappointing film starring Shia LaBeouf.
Super hot?! I takes all kinds, I guess…
