David Bowie, "Where Are We Now?"

"Music idol David Bowie broke years of silence and speculation today to release his first new single in a decade – with an album to follow. The star, who shot to fame in the late '60s with 'Space Oddity', surprised fans by suddenly releasing a new recording, 'Where Are We Now?', on his 66th birthday."

I love this. It's wonderful and I don't care if he sounds old. He is old. And I love the fact it's a surprise and not pre-hyped. Very melancholy.

@Alice Morgan@facebook Agree. For some reason the vibe of approaching death really speaks to me.

Actually, the album isn't released until March

The video was a bit ??? (I'm a simple guy) but the song is just terrific. His son Duncan broke the announcement, via Twitter, of the new album, which is pretty neat.

Song good. Video? Looks like something that escaped from a MySpace page.

Far better and far less embarrassing than just about anything McCartney's done in the last 10 years.

"Where Are We Now" is cryptic. Is he literally showing us the bottle is empty?

This is my interpretation: https://sites.google.com/site/fasmusicvideowherearewenow/
