You're right to be suspicious of all the buzz, but sometimes high praise turns out to be justified; Heartthrob, the new one by Tegan and Sara, is just so so good. Trust your pal Al on this one. Or, you know what? Trust, but verify.
It is the sweetest gutpunch you'll hear all month. (It is also the third of four 2013 records that I have compulsively gone back to after being professionally obligated to listen to them. Which is a good number for so early in the year!)
