Am I alone in thinking there's something sick about someone who will eat beetroots (ugh!) for the sake of a 2% improvement in "performance". These athletes should get a life.
I can understand the idea behind this and I find it very refreshing. It is important that people realize that athletes commit and how much they give up for the sport that they practice. I do not know why people think or believe that achieving something like this comes easy and that they can understand how important it is to be in the best shape ever. In addition, related to the beetroots, do not worry about it, it is healthy and athletes are receiving highly personalized attention from their physician regularly.
