Nothing But Gray Skies

Most days you struggle to open your eyes and shake off the ill effects of whatever you did to yourself the night before. Your body aches. Your bones crack. You put a hesitant foot on the floor, knowing that what's going to come over the next 12 hours is going to be the same kind of repetitive, soul-destroying drudgery that happened last week, will happen again next week and, given the way things are now, will happen again for the rest of your life. It's a non-stop carnival of agony for which the only reward is death. And it doesn't make it any easier when you realize that you're not going to see the sun for a long, long time. But let's turn that around! It is June! At some point it is going to be so disgustingly hot and humid outside that you're going to wish you had a week like this. Let's all try and enjoy the cool weather while we can, because it's going to get worse. Much worse. It always does. Good morning!

Fuck, my life expectancy is now lower than retirement age. Good thing I bought the instant cold packs at Duane Reade. They help ease the pain.

I recommend playing Mel Torme's "Blue Skies" until the rain clears.

Is it bad that I'm eagerly awaiting a zombie apocalypse just so the clocks are reset and I have a better chance at a productive future?

@hershmire "1980-Present – Completely Dicked-Over Generation"…yeah but Facebook, gchat, iPhones, "Call Me Maybe".

@Bryan Keller Certainly all good comforts when I'm toiling at 80 and eating found cat food.

Granger Danger (#2,831)

@Bryan Keller Yeah but all of those things are awful… (Except "Call Me Maybe".)

This is about Mad Men, isn't it?
