Somehow, some way, Graham William Nash turns 70 today. I am a big proponent in wanting everyone in the Baby Boom generation and all who inspired it to die, but there is something about his greatest song that makes me feel a little protective of him. Then I remember all those car commercials and "Wonder Years" episodes and am like, good riddance, but that is a churlish thought on a milestone like this.

Don't forget The Hollies, better than that hippie CSN rubbish.
I agree. "Pay You Back With Interest" over anything Nash ever did with CSN.
(Although: true confessions: I have recently developed a serious and disturbing soft spot for "Our House." I don't know how it happened. That song used to make me puke. And now I kind of love it. I need to permanently turn in my rocker badge and accept my future of sitting in a rocking chair drinking chamomile tea.)
I like 'Marrakesh Express' (good tune!) but will take 'Bus Stop' and 'Carrie Ann' over everything else.
@LondonLee
Lord, I do love "Carrie Ann."
@Dave Bry
If it helps, "Southern Cross" makes me weep buckets. (Then again, so does "Levon," a song which makes absolutely no sense, so whatever.)
Oh my god! "Levon" is my absolute jam! I mean, there are lots of great Elton John songs, that's why Elton John is Elton John. But, man, yes! Especially the last few years, every time "Levon" comes on, it just breaks me in half. That song is perfect. (Despite making absolutely no sense.)
@Dave Bry It's so gorgeous and soaring -- just don't try to figure out who's related to whom, and why Jesus sells balloons, or who Alvin Whatsisface is.
Dude, why do you hate my mom?
Love CSN(Y), but was so sad to hear David Crosby's voice when I saw them back in 2000.
I think this is my favorite Nash song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1Ku6LqFrio
Man you punks are trashing my youth and it's music. Breaks my heart.
Those who "inspired" the baby boom generation would be our parents. You know by having us? Helplessly Hoping, anyone?
"I am a big proponent in wanting everyone in the Baby Boom generation and all who inspired it to die" ?
