I had no idea that there was this much hate for Sleigh Bells. Although I guess, what with the Internet and all, there's this much hate for everyone nowadays.

Hate is the reserve currency of the Internet.
To be fair, it's pretty easy to hate any band that plays to a backing track pre-recorded to an iPod.
I don't know why, in this day and age when it's so so easy for anyone to create live, awesome drums on a myriad of different instruments/media/pots and pans, anyone with a second to spare for thoughts about music and what they like about music would choose to support for any reason a band where one of the key members is an iPod. An iPOD.

@djfreshie It's like you never even went to Zuccotti Park.
@djfreshie I know, Kraftwerk must be turning in their graves.
@LondonLee Roland from Big Black sheds a single tear.
@djfreshie i hear it; even more annoying, though, is a band that COULD do this and chooses to have more people on stage than necessary, pretending to do shit that doesn't correspond to the sound coming outta the stacks. just sayin'.
@turd_sandwich No, never an iPod, never once, never for anyone.
Tambourine>Ipod.
Shaker>iPod.
One note played on a Bassoon>iPod.
A dude in Arrested Development that plays nothing and is the band's spiritual advisor>iPod.
Lana del Rey is loving this.
At least one of 'em's a dude this time, I guess?
I think what everyone's failing to come to grips with here is that Poison the Well has always sucked.
Okay, I'm highly amused since I am on the record as saying "Convince me Alexis Krauss is authentic and then we can talk about LDR."
But the SNL performances were, indeed, atrocious. Was your teen-pop-star training for nothing, woman?
Mostly, I was disappointed when I realized that it wasn't Raven from Ru Paul's Drag Race who was performing. :(
It is becoming clear that all I need to do to find good music is listen to whatever the Internet hates right now. I like LDR & Sleigh Bells. Clearly I'm some form of troglodyte.
But I know that liking music isn't really any part of this anymore. It's all about "authenticity" and "image" and zzz...
1) This coming from a man who hates the moon of Earth.
2) You can still get shit for wearing sunglasses indoors even if you're in a band?
