Why can't we stop watching baby animal videos? BECAUSE THEY'RE ADORABLE, obviously. But also there is some kind of Science involved that I didn't really follow because I was too busy looking at the kitty who was all "WHA?" Anyway, enjoy.

This is all well and good until my insurance stops paying for my antidepressants and suggests hourly hits of baby animals instead.

Baby Polar Bear - insanely cute.
When I was watching this segment (live, on the teevee) it got to the moment where they showed the woman reacting to cute animals, shortly after they had shown footage of cute animals and I had had that same reaction, and it caused me to go into some sort of robot does-not-compute meltdown and turn off the TV.
Next, science needs to explain why baby animal videos are more popular on the internet than baby human videos. Shouldn't we have evolved to find human babies the cutest of all? Maybe it's just me but kittens and things rank higher on the visual cuteness scale than babies, although I do always enjoy a laughing baby video.
