Just How Many Active Serial Sex Predators Are There in Park Slope?
A plausible suspect in the serial assaults in greater Park Slope has been held for questioning; he was caught in the act, or at least "an act." But police are saying that they believe there's more than one of 'em. In fact, they have "four sketches of suspects on display" at the station. (AND HOW DEPRESSING IS THAT?) Some news: here are some free self-defense classes in Brooklyn; Safe Slope is still offering walks home for ladies and other folks who may feel vulnerable.

Will someone walk me home if I'm just lonely? Or is that me exploiting the system, you judgmental fucks?
i'll walk you home but you have to hold my
penishand when we cross the street. What is it that causes a rash of attacks like this? I mean are there identifiable social reasons behind sex crime like there are behind burglaries or drug-related crimes, etc.?
I drive past this police station when I pick my daughter up at school. I would say there are usually 15-20 police officers standing on that corner (Prospect and 5th, maybe). So, ladies, that corner = extremely safe, but kinda wondering who's watching the other ones.
I am in the area, and I haven't seen any cops out at night. At least they could have a "presence" on the street, right? Its not like they don't know how to blanket the area with cops: they're out in force every time the precious street sweeper is out to hand out parking tickets.
The whole area is getting really lawless. In the playgrounds of PS282 at night, it is basically an open-air drug den. Dozens of people smoking pot out in the open, often playing loud music. It is really strange, like a real life "Hamsterdam" from The Wire.
@sixlocal I've actually seen a marked police presence in South Slope, most notably around 6th Ave/20th St., 5th Ave/15th St., and around PPW/12th St.
