David Lynch's "On the Air," Episode One

God bless Network Awesome for digging up episodes of "On the Air." Picture it! 1992! It was the much-hyped return of David Lynch to television! We marked our paper calendars and came home early, because if you missed a TV show then, you missed a TV show. We were, let's say, floored. Quite soon, it disappeared entirely and we were sad. Actually I mark my calendar AND set my VCR. Uh, *ahem* MARKED, that's what I meant.

Wow, I remember watching this 10 years ago on a VHS collection (the whole series crammed on to one tape). I hadn't heard of it, but Lynch and Frost's names were on it. In the end, though, it was kind of obvious to me why it was short lived. The Lynch directed episodes were good (though not great), and the others were pretty forgettable.

I'm really impressed by the quality of their version though. It doesn't look like all of the other shitty VHS transfers these kinds of shows have on Youtube.

Glad to see Network Awesome get some love here. Not only as a fan and contributor, but as the guy who's about to write 1,400 words on a Canadian TV show from the 80's about a nebbish who solves crimes using postcongitive psychic visions, and stars the guy whose head explodes in "Scanners".

@keisertroll Yes, I'm afraid the takeaway for me is that I must now develop a Tumblr post about Network Awesome.
