Why Is Everyone in New York So Barfulous?

Is there anyone left in town who didn't spend the weekend or this morning trying not to heave? Is someone trying to kill us all?

The first article in Lucky Peach is about David Chang traveling in Japan, eating a lot of ramen and then barfing all the ramen (I guess it happened a long time ago but I read it last night)

Did you guys get a group discount on one of those Norovirus cruises?

Did everyone else have the rum with the picture of the Kraken on the bottle mixed with finely-aged Four Loko? Because I'm pretty sure I deserve my results.

@C_Webb Just reading that made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

@C_Webb I actually enjoyed both of those things separately this weekend, but oh my lord never together. Though if I may ask, where in NYC do they sell Kraken? We're looking for it with some difficulty.

@LDM Liquor store on Court Street at 2nd Place in Carroll Gardens? Right at the register next to a tequila shaped like a skull. It was like the bar for a Dungeons and Dragons-themed bachelor party.

Summer cold-slash-violent allergies here. No sign of stomach flu yet. Have slept like I've never slept before for the past three days.

No, but just by reading post it feels like I picked up the phone and heard 'seven days..' My mouth is getting juicy.

It must be from swimming in the pool at the Gansevoort.

YES. It's not just me? or the food from yesterday's picnic?

I had that last week, so I'm glad to hear I'm still at the forefront of shitty trends.

I crashed at a friend's place two weekends ago and barfed on his spare bed. Does that mean that Canada is ahead of New York this time, trend-wise?

brent_cox (#40)

I'm planning on getting it this week. Maybe Weds?

Crap. Haven't seen this yet; hoping that trend continues. (Leaving town on Friday–hopefully that's soon enough.)

People vomiting on the train! And not 3AM drunken-ride-home-yakking: I witnessed TWO sudden episodes of sober subway puking. I'm guessing virus/food poisoning/reaction to the weed and/or rat killer the Parks Department keeps spraying around without putting up enough (or any) warning signs.

I have a theory.

I drank normal things: 3 glasses of wine and a glass of punch at acceptably faux-upscale Wmsburg establishments this weekend and woke up feeling SICK SICK SICK! Way sicker than warranted. And it continues through this morning. This is the nausea version of that maple syrup smell from a few years back, maybe.

My traditional cold remedy is a hangover, and vice versa.

Why, yes, my tummy has been a bit off lately. I thought it was lingering effects of drinking all of the Guinness in Ireland last week?
