"You know who he reminds me of? Mr. Potter from ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ the mean old bastard who screws everybody."
—New Jersey Senate President Stephen Sweeney is angry at Governor Chris Christie, whom he calls (among other things) "a bully and a punk," "spoiled," and "a rotten prick."

Fatso's Petals

What's Mark Halperin's opinion of Gov. Christie?

I'm as pleased as anyone to see Chris Christie called a prick on the front page of the Star Ledger, but it's tough for me to be too excited when the guy doing the calling willingly got into bed with that snake. Nobody could have predicted that the narcissistic, sociopathic Republican toady would go back on his word after you sold out your constituents. I'd say Steve Sweeney deserves to have his feelings hurt, except a lot of defenseless people are going to get hurt because him and Christie are petulant children. Christ, what a bunch of assholes.

Dunno how much of this for show and how much is buyer's remores, but Steve Konacki at Salon has been detailing the alliance between Christie and Sweeney (and more importantly between Christie and George Norcross, Sweeney's patron/puppetmaster).

@jfruh Ugh, George Norcross is the ultimate villain. I haven't lived in Jersey for nine years, and I read that post last week and it was like nothing's changed. We should enact my plan and just give South Jersey to Delaware.

Codey for Governor. Everyone else can fuck off.

@brianvan Exactly.

@brianvan: If only he would actually run! I shook hands with him four years ago and haven't washed my right hand since.
