'Daily News' Endorses Prison Rape
My very, very favorite kind of American media article is the one about how prisons in other countries just don't have enough rape. These come out quite frequently! Today the Daily News adds the latest to this genre: it's all upset about how Norway's Halden Prison, where horrible, horrible person Anders Breivik may be held, isn't dank and prisoney enough for American tastes. (So this genre is sort of the opposite of the French articles about how awful the American perp walk is.) "Anders Behring Breivik won't fear the showers because every prisoner has a private bathroom," is how the Daily News is pimping this on their front page. ALSO DID YOU HEAR THEY HAVE TVS??? What's next, are they going to bring country music stars in to entertain the prisoners?
I thought it wasn't rape if it happened to bad men in prison?

"The police usually 'leak' 'retarded looking' photos to the press after raiding the cells apartment after an operation," he wrote. So Breivik recommended sprucing up, working out – and investing in a good head shot. "Visit a male salon if possible and apply light makeup," he wrote. "Yes, I know – this might sound repulsive to big badass warriors like us, but we must look our best for the shoot."
@Ham_Snadwich It worked too- the first pictures of him were some blurry snaps of him dressed like a mason, and now all I see on the news are clearly taken from such a photoshoot.

Yeah, but if a Norwegian prisoner happens to find a cockroach in his cell, he's SOL.
What's even harder to understand is that Norway's minorities don't make up the majority of their prison population, so there is really nobody to do the actual work of administering the hell that he deserves to Anders Breivik. What a travesty of the justice system.

@zidaane Upper West Side: $2,350/month, Upper East Side $2,150/month. Other neighborhoods don't have windows that big.
@zidaane I should mention that it looks exactly like my first New York apartment on W 74th street I moved into back in 2006 (for $2,000/month). It worked too: today, I'm a reformed man living a free life in Brooklyn.
Maybe that's the only way The Daily News can get any.

Ah, prison rape. Because in America, for some reason, we entrust "justice" to some of the most despicable members of society, as long as they're doing it to other despicable members of society.

How dare the Norwegians apply their Norwegian standards of law and justice to this person who killed lots of other Norwegians? Now these Europeans can't even be trusted to react appropriately to their own domestic tragedies. What about OUR outrage??
