Man, remember when Vampire Weekend's Contra was, like, a big deal? It seems so long ago!

No?

I'm a fan of Vampire Weekend's lesser known prequel to this album, "Iran".

Just this morning on the satellite, serial-Sirius-flipping to avoid that horrid DJ Madison, a song came on, and I thought man whatever that is it is chalkboard scratch quality. You can figure out the rest.

I remember when I really liked Vampire weekend, and then I listened to a few minutes of Contra and noticed the abundant, very obvious use of vocal Auto-tune, and then I decided I didn't like Vampire weekend.

Sigh of relief.

Boo Vampire Weekend – Yay L'homme Run!

Also, did you guys know Ezra was a frat boy at Columbia? He once looked my friends up and down and told them they wouldn't get in to his frat's party dressed in jeans and sneakers.

I downloaded Kanda Bongo Man's Kwassa Kwassa album yesterday. Those boys are lucky they got out there before the Stern's 50 Years of Independence 50 Years of Music box landed, is all I can say.

When explaining that Tune Yards is all the worst parts of Dirty Projectors and Vampire Weekend, was the last time.

I don't talk about them much, but I still listen to them from time to time. They're one of the only non-Z100 acts my tween daughter will tolerate, along with Ben Folds.
