The Lars von Trier Trailer: WHAT???

I have a new title suggestion for the 1. new Lars von Trier movie that 2. stars Kirsten Dunst that is about 3. OUTER SPACE: let us just call it WTF. (Also, I guess this marks a final break with Dogme 95, ya know?)

If they take a bath, the planet won't hit them?

Always said Von Trier should be left at a Lagrangian Point.

To starve naked or something.

Though if the oncoming planet were gnome-shaped, that might make the film almost worthwhile.

I'm pretty sure all those shots of Earth and its sister planet from space were filmed using entirely natural light sources.

He used the lenses from Barry Lyndon.

I liked The Element of Crime. That was science fiction and linear storytelling too.

"The Kingdom" was a hoot. It was like a J-horror take on 4 episodes of "ER".

That "baby" in The Kingdom sent that show into ridiculous land. Enjoyed it though.

@whizzard : "That baby" was Udo Kier, which sent it both into ridiculous and awesome at the same time.

… unless you're talking about the American TV remake, which I didn't see but probably did not have Udo Kier. However, I hear that it did have a giant talking anteater, which (ridiculous / awesome).

Way to go Wagner score.

How dare you. Kiki IS dogma. Pay due homage mortals

I am kind of interested in this! A story about the "happiest" day of her life where a girl obsesses about the world ending and frets that her mother hates her? This is potentially the most interesting Lars Von Soap Opera in years.

Looks pretty and I get to look at three of my favorite actresses.

Is it safe to bet that this film does not end well for one or more of the female characters?

mrschem (#1,757)

Always.
