Just What Bananas Need: Plastic Packaging
Finally, bananas will be properly packaged: "Del Monte has come up with individual plastic packaging for bananas, a fruit that already comes in its own natural, biodegradable wrapper." [Via]

That's bananas! (I'm so sorry. Truly, I don't know how to stop.)
Imagine they started putting almonds in bags? That would be nuts.
Still won't prevent them from getting squished in my backpack.
There's a container for that.
Seriously, sadly, there's a plastic, banana-shaped container designed for this very purpose.
I'm going to go ponder landfills, waste and why there are millions and millions of miles of self-storage facilities in the US now.
I've resorted to eating the entire bunch as soon as I buy them. I can't stand the crippling anxiety that comes with the chance that they might turn brown. It's really healthy, I mean unhealthy.
Now, if only they can find a big, paper container to hold a piñata.
They'll be extinct soon, anyway.
Nothing to see here. Just another sign of the end times.
Del Monte is making condoms now?
What's next? Hammocks for bananas?
I demand individually-wrapped apple slices.
On Knifecrime Island cucumbers come shrink-wrapped.
