Lemme guess Balk, during the airport scene you were crying so much that you pulled a tissue out of your bra to daub your eyes?

How many times did I pause/rewind the scene with William Hurt's penis shadow?

Yes!

"A lot of alliteration from anxious anchors placed in powerful posts!"

This movie is singlehandedly responsible for me wanting to be a journalist.

Thank God I didn't succeed.

This movie is almost singlehandedly responsible for my becoming certain that being a girl and wanting to be a journalist meant that I could never have a satisfying personal life. Over the years, I've come to think of it as a pernicious Trojan horse of a movie, setting up a strong female lead to fail because of what I now perceive as a failure of imagination on Brooks's part. That said, I still can never look away from the "and I'm in love with you" scene — it is perfect.
