With this and the bird thing, you guys have really got the death beat covered today. Thanks!
On my desk there's a pic of a dear friend who died last year. He's on a beach under a palm tree, drinking from a pineapple. I find it much easier to look at him in within this context-less frame, unlike on fb, where this same image resides in frozen silence, seemingly marooned amid the surface waves of status updates and inanities. Well, not total silence, as his brother replies to many of the messages left for him, like on "the day you crashed after the bachelor party."
Miss you, the days when we simply had to promise to get rid of the porn.
Ah damn. I knew Leslie Harpold. We once had a spirited debate over whether a dude having a bad relationship with his mom made him undateable. I have her recipe for "Cowboy Mashed Potatoes" saved to my computer to this day. Way to unexpectedly hit a nerve, article.
