Do You Have Change Blindness?
Watch this video, and then read on to find out what the hell happened.
"At first, the ring of dots is motionless and it's easy to tell that the dots are changing color. When the ring begins to rotate, however, the dots suddenly appear to stop changing. The faster the ring moves, the less the colours appear to change. But in reality, they were changing the whole time, at the same rate. As the video shows, the illusion also works for brightness, shape and size."
And that, my friends, is what we call change blindness. All clear? Great!

God, you're right. Now I can't find my nickels.
The rotating circles had all the personality, yet none of the anti-Obama sentiment, of the Tea Party promotional video I was hoping for.
Great, I just pissed myself and bit through my tongue.
Wut.
I have hair on my palms now.
I am not sure that is from the video.
i followed instructions and am now "suffering" from priapism. suggestions?
STC, DO – I believe this is ripe for a certain type of joke referring to a certain familial entity?
@robo, lsj: Yo momma was suffering from priapism after watching this video too, but that's mostly an automated response to being told what to do.
@robo: You'll never be the man yo mama was.
do: she doesn't have priapism, she's just wearing a cock ring.
stc: that's what daddy says
Can I apply for disability?
Yeah, but did any of you see the gorilla?
I'm calling the guy in my avatar to show you this effect without using a computer, nerds.
Well yeah, of course you can't see them changing when they're moving. If a pink dot changes to red as it moves to the position of a red dot, you are not going to see that.
There must be something wrong with me because they looked like they were changing to me the whole time.
Same. I feel like I was cheated out of a magic trick.
